lone star jeans plainview::One thing that i highly recommend is mingling moms.
This is a company that has luncheons for 4 consectutive weeks.
It seems like they run it every month or so you can usually do it while on maternity leave.
You can bring your babythey are very baby friendly and offer chaning stations.
Almost every mom comes with their new baby.
Each luncheon has a different speaker.
They are really flexible so if you miss one, you can make it up at the next series.
I met a lot of great people there and it was great to get out with my baby!
The first class that i ever took with my baby was at gymboree.
It was a level 1 class.
It was offered on saturdays and one day during the week which worked out great for me because i started the class while i was on maternity leave and continued it on saturdays once i went back to work.
I found that gymboree was really flexible.
That worked great while on maternity leave because it gave us something to do if we needed it almost any day of the week.
I started taking that class when my daughter was 10 weeks old.
There were a few other babies that age and some a few weeks older.
It was really a place to go to get out of the house and i met wonderful friends.
I would say that class was more for the moms than it was for the babies but they got something out of it too.
We are taking a music class there now and my daughter loves it.
Gymboree has a few locations in the area to pick from.
They recently closed their location at the broadway mall in hicksville but just opened a new location at the source mall in westbury.
Unfortunatly, that seems to happen often at the jcc but i have heard great things about that class from people that have been able to take it.
For music, music together offers classes at a few locations in the areatemple chavarim in plainview, once upon a treetop also in plainview, at at their main location at not just art in oyster bay.
The oyster bay locations also has a family class on saturdays where children up to age 7 can attend.
They are willing to make a class for you if you have a group of 12.
Of course the local libraries have story time.
Check with each branch to find out what they offer.
These are usually free classes.
Each offers classes at different locations and different times.
Some are offered at parks when the weather is nice, some are offered indoors in malls.
Classes can get definitely get pricey.
